How To Install Extended Stud Conversion Kit On 5 Series BMW

In this video I’ll show you how I did the conversion from lug bolts (I keep calling them lug nuts out of habit) to extended studs on my BMW E60. I’ve seen multiple recommendations on how much to torque these studs, and it ranges from 7ft/lb to 80ft/lb. Some use threadlocker and some don’t… anti-seize for the lug nuts vs none. General consensus says it all comes down to the manufacturer of your kit due to differences in materials/hardware. It’s confusing, huh?

This video is not sponsored by Motorsport Hardware. I purchased the kit with optional hardware through their website after reading about multiple different kits. This one looked to be the best value (quality plus cost), so I contacted Ryan over the phone. He instantly had a recommendation and I was sold on his goods and services.
