MWF re:Vison
What started as a solo visioning project to enhance the visuals of the PMPs in a Shark Tank style presentation for the client grew to a group effort. We’d agreed to revisit some exploration comps I recently made and take it a step higher. The goal was to increase page scroll-rates by cranking the visuals knob a notch beyond [Windows] 10.
This first example is all about the new Surface Pro that was about to launch, and is the foundation of what we’d revisit for the group effort. This page is about new accessories in new colors, better hardware and display, and the list goes on and on. What better way to marry the software and hardware experience than by combining elements from the newly launched Paint 3D with the Surface Pen and Surface Dial.
Romancing the Product
In the case of this group think, the idea was simple: relate the device's’ product pages to its spirit animal. As Team Banzi we’d chosen a tiger in this example because of its fierceness and power – a few traits we’d likened to the Surface Book. Then it became an exercise in massaging, and pushing the boundaries, of the existing web framework – Microsoft Web Framework (MWF).
